Please respect park rules, respect parking requests, and be a good neighbor.

Closed Closed Thursday, June 19, for mowing from approx 8am - 2pm. See our news page for more details.
Parking Change The area next to the off leash entrance will be closed May 16-19th for a neighborhood cleanup event. See our news page for more details.
Parking Update Clark Co Pub Works - Traffic (4-2-08)

1. On-street parking along both sides of NE 172nd Avenue next to the park is acceptable as long as at least 10 feet of travel lane is available between the parked vehicle and the centerline of the road and the parking does not create a traffic safety situation. The observed parking pattern on 172nd Avenue fulfilled both conditions. Visitors to the park should be considerate not to park vehicles such as to encroach and/or damage private property.

2. Visitors should not park along NE 3rd Street on the south side of the park. Two-way travel on this narrow street cannot be maintained if cars are parked on the shoulders.

UPDATE:

MONDAY (3-3-08) VANDERVORT WILL OPEN AND THIS MARKS THE BEGINNING OF THE 2-WK TEMPORARY TRANSITION FROM PACIFIC, ENDING (3-16-08).

Additionaly, 2.5 acres will be left open for neighborhood children to play in. See our news page for more details.

NE 172nd Avenue & between NE 3rd and NE 5th Streets

This 8-acre park is located the Fisher-Mill Plain neighborhood and a future neighborhood park site. Currently, 2.5 acres remain for general use and 5.5 acres temporarily replaces the existing off-leash dog park at Pacific Community Park, which will close on Sunday, March 16, so the Vancouver Fire Department can build a new fire station there. The dog park will move to its permanent home at Pacific Community Park this summer.

The entrance to the general use area is from NE Third St. Dogs must remain leashed until inside the OLA. The main entrance to the dog park is on NE 172nd Ave next to Laurelwood Baptist Church.

Dog park visitors can park in designated areas at Laurelwood Baptist Church Mondays through Saturdays and after 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Please, thank Laurelwood Bapist Church for allowing us to park at their facility.
