Subject: [DOGPAW] Dogtoberfest

Many of you has asked about the Dogtoberfest event, which is normally held in 
October.  Unfortunately, we will not be having the event this year due to 
lack of volunteers.  These big events take alot of work and we have a key group 
of folks who do every event and frankly, they are tired and burned out.  
Hopefully next year we will have more volunteers step so that we can get 
Dogtoberfest back on the calender.
 
We will plan a special event for the opening of the new Pacific off leash 
park, which should be late spring early summer.  Also, we hope to be celebrating 
a new off leash park in Washougal by mid summer 2008.   Additionally, our site 
development team has been in discussions with Clark County officials about a 
couple more potential sites around Vancouver-no idea yet on when those would 
be opening.
 
We hope that these new off site options will encourage folks to step up and 
get involved when we put out the call for help to plan events for 2008!
